All-Russian conference of young scientists on food technology and biotechnology was held at KNRTU

On April 17, 2019, the All-Russian Conference of Young Scientists, Postgraduates and Students with International Participation «Food Technologies and Biotechnology» was held for the sixteenth time at KNRTU.

This year's event, devoted to the 150th anniversary of the Periodic System of Chemical Elements, gathered both young and experienced researchers from 47 organizations of science and higher education from Moscow to Ulan-Ude, scientists from Belarus, Norway, USA, Central Asian states, Algeria, Vietnam and other countries, as well as representatives of industrial enterprises.

The extensive program of the conference, in addition to plenary and breakout sessions, included round tables, an exhibition of low-tonnage agricultural food production, a festival of innovative projects Spectrum of Taste, as well as a semifinal event for the UMNIK program of the Innovation Promotion Fund.

Colleagues from Norway - Norway's Trade Representative in Russia, Frode Mo, and Marine Director of the University of Bergen, one of the leading experts in the field of aquaculture, Amund Maage - emphasized the importance of cooperation in the field of fish and seafood production for both Norway and Russian Federation. Mr. Maage also talked about how research activities related to various aspects of aquaculture, including the control of fish parasites and other risks are organized at the University of Bergen.

Other reports covered topics related to the technology of plant and animal products, therapeutic and prophylactic and functional nutrition, technological equipment, food production processes and devices, food quality and safety, food and biotechnology industry economics and many others.
