SUMMER, SUN, ST. PETERSBURG: KNRTU STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN 2025 PATRIOTIC SCHOOL

A Patriotic school for KNRTU students was held in St. Petersburg from July 17 to 26. 45 students having achievements in socially significant, creative and sports activities were selected.

The Patriotic School programme was very rich. The participants completed an educational block aimed at mastering communication skills and recognizing roles in teamwork. They also learned the art of negotiation to reach a compromise through case studies and game practice.

"I am very glad to be here: I have vivid memories about the nights that were a lot of fun. I would like to go back to the time we were walking, taking pictures and laughing. The excursion program was rich," says student Olga Dmitrieva (IPCN) sharing her impressions.

In St. Petersburg, the participants visited the renowned Petropalovsk fortress, the historically significant Aurora Сruiser, the Church of the Savior on Blood, St. Isaac's Cathedral, the Palace Square and the Youth Military Historical Club “Raid”. The students were particularly impressed by the excursion to Vyborg, a town where Swedish, Russian and Finnish cultures and architecture meet together. Students also admired the unique fountain system of Peterhof Palace. The cultural program also included team theatrical performances, musical bingo and stand-up on the given topics.

"The programme was very intense: it is difficult to choose a specific event that I liked the most. It was especially pleasant to see commitment of participants’, who were expressing themselves as much as possible," said Yulia Arkhipova, Chairman of Polymer Institute Students and Postgraduates Union.

The participants accomplished team building tests and got energized at a dance master class in Sosnovka Park. At the end of the school, a foresight session was held, where students analyzed the flagship projects of KNRTU youth policy, developed new trends and came up with their organization ideas for comfortable participation and motivation of the younger generation.
