On March 5, 2026, Kazan National Research Technological University will host the qualifying stage of the 14th season of the International Engineering Championship CASE-IN. Student teams will present the first solutions of the season in the fields of Petrochemicals and Biotechnology.

The championship is supported by the Presidential Platform "Russia is a Country of Opportunities" and is included in the "Science to Win" initiative of the Decade of Science and Technology in Russia.

The main theme of the new season is "Future Technologies." The participants will have 10 days to develop projects to ensure the full digitalization of leading industries and the introduction of artificial intelligence and digital twins. The tasks have been formulated in accordance with the goals of the Concept for Russia's Technological Development until 2030.

The case study on Biotechnology has been developed based on the materials of a strategic partner, NPO TN-Biotech LLC (part of the Tatneft Group). It focuses on the deep processing of plant raw materials using biotechnology. The case of the "Petrochemicals" direction was prepared in collaboration with SIBUR Holding PJSC and is aimed at developing a model of import-substituting production of specialized peroxide initiators for the polymer industry.

The students' work will be evaluated by an expert commission that includes specialists from industry companies, organizations, and universities. The winners of the qualifying stage at KNRTU will continue to compete for the main prizes of the season and will present their developments at the final, which will take place in Moscow at the end of May.

The best participants will receive benefits for admission to master's and postgraduate programs, as well as the opportunity to undergo paid internships and practical training at partner companies with subsequent employment.

We invite students and professors to support the participants and witness the defense of their projects. The championship will be held at KNRTU on March 5 at 10:00 in the A-round hall. Guests are expected to arrive at 09:30.
