The Potanin Foundation has summed up the results of the 2025/2026 scholarship competition. Of the 15 master's students from our university who passed the in-person final stage of the competition, five winners were identified. In the field of Chemical Technology, the winners are Airat Kasimov and Sergey Martyugov. Firdus Minnakhmetov and Leisan Khasanzyanova won in the category "Energy and Resource-Saving Processes in Chemical Technology, Petrochemicals, and Biotechnology".
Ramilya Saifutdinova won in the category "Energy and Resource-Saving Processes in Chemical Technology, Petrochemicals, and Biotechnology".
KNRTU scholarship holders have received numerous awards for their victories in competitions, active public engagement, scientific research, and practical developments.
For example, Airat Kasimov has won prizes and been the winner of the Case-IN International Engineering Championship in the field of Petrochemicals, as well as other competitions and case championships (MNPz-Gazpromneft, etc.), and has been a prize-winner of the Ya.Profi Olympiad. Airat has publications indexed in WoS/Scopus and is among the top 100 graduates of KNRTU.
Sergey Martyugov is also a prize-winner of the engineering case championship from JSC MNPz-Gazpromneft, a two-time finalist of the autumn cup of the international engineering case championship CASE-IN.
“I am currently engaged in the synthesis of polyolefins, conducting research on the system of external donors for obtaining polypropylene on Ziegler-Natta catalysts,” Sergey said. “In addition to my scientific work, I am also involved in sports activities – I am the captain of the KNRTU table tennis team.
Ramila Saifutdinova's research focuses on the recycling of agricultural waste, and she has already published articles in journals indexed by Scopus, VAK, and RSCI, as well as 18 articles in conference proceedings. She is also a recipient of scholarships from the President, the Government of Russia, and the Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan.
"Last year, I participated in the Potanin Foundation scholarship competition and passed the in-person stage," said Ramila. – I am glad that I became the winner of this year, because in the in-person stage, we were able to show our personal qualities, as well as our ability to work in a team, solve complex problems, and how our skills can help in the development of society. Firdus Minnakhmetov is a recipient of the Special State Scholarship of the Republic of Tatarstan, a three-time recipient of the President of the Russian Federation Scholarship, and a two-time winner of a student startup as part of a team.
Leisan Khasanzyanova also has many awards for her victories in competitions and her active social work. She is a winner of a grant competition from Rosmolodezh.Grants", scholarship holder of the All-Russian Trade Union of Education and Gazprombank, two-time winner of the All-Russian case championship "Bitum-Master", winner of the "KNRTU Excellent Student of the Year" award (in the "Student Council of the Year" nomination), winner of the "KNRTU Excellent Student of the Year" award in the "Media Personality of the Year" and "Grand Prix" nominations, winner of the republican stage of the All-Russian competition "Student Leader", winner of the university and republican stages of the All-Russian competition "You are a Leader".
In total, 1,000 people from 71 Russian universities were awarded scholarships by the Potanin Foundation. The scholarship recipients represent 110 different fields of study. They will receive a monthly personal scholarship from Vladimir Potanin in the amount of 30,000 rubles, starting from February 2026 until the end of their studies.
