The International Conference devoted to Modeling Oil and Chemical Production Processes was Held at Kazan National Research Technological University

On March 21-22, 2018, the international research conference "Creating Full Models of Oil and Chemical Production Processes” took place at a joint laboratory of KNRTU and Yokogawa. The large international Japanese company Yokogawa Electric Corporation was a co-organizer of the event.

Cooperation between KNRTU and Yokogawa Electric Corporation has commenced since 2011 from launching the joint laboratory of Automation and Industrial Process Control Systems at KNRTU. The continuous mutual work offers excellent opportunities for the exchange of ideas and technologies together with implementation of joint academic projects and the use of cutting-edge equipment for education. Director of Yokogawa Electric Corporation Division in Kazan Alexey Anokhin and KNRTU Vice Rector for Research Aydar Sabirsyanov addressed the conference participants with the greeting speeches. Pablo Jimenez-Asenjo (Spain), senior officerof KBC Advanced Technologies (since 2016 the company belongs to Yokogawa Electric Corporation) and Tatyana Zhuk (Moscow, Russia), senior officer of Yokogawa Electric Corporation presented plenary reports at the meeting. Pablo Jimenez-Asenjo introduced a short description of productsfor oil and chemical productions developed by KBC Corporation and showed software for modeling the preparation and processing of Petro-SIM products. Tatyana Zhuk demonstrated the product application for monitoring and analysis of heat-exchange pollution, modeling of compressor equipment. She held a practical class on modeling ethane-ethylene separation column. Among the conference participants there were representatives from industrial companies, including “Kazanorgsintez”, “Ammoniy”, Yokogawa Electric Corporation (Ufa Division), “Nizhnekamskneftekhim” and the students of Automated Control Systems and Information Technologies Department, KNRTU.

On September 1, 2011, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov and the President of Yokogawa Electric Corporation, Shuzo Kaihori, launched the Laboratory of Automation and Industrial Process Control Systems in KNRTU.
