KNRTU student is the winner of EuroSkills 2018

On September 29, 2018, the European Workers Championship EuroSkills 2018 was completed. The Russian team is the absolute leader in the medal and points standings. KNRTU student – Albert Mineev won the gold medal in the competence of Engineering Design CAD.

The President of the Republic of Tatarstan – Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated Russian participants on his Instagram page.
For the first time, the Russian team performed with such a great success: we are the first in the number of gold medals, in the number of medals of all kinds and in the number of points scored.
Kazan National Research Technological University was the only university from Tatarstan to provide a representative for EuroSkills 2018. Albert Mineev, who won the competence in Engineering Design CAD, is in his fourth year at the faculty of Petroleum and Petrochemistry. He already has considerable experience in WorldSkills competitions: Albert has been a member of the national team in Engineering Design since 2016, and in 2017 he participated in the WorldSkills World Championship.
As the Rector of KNRTU Sergey Yushko noted: “In our university, the WorldSkills movement is among the priority development directions. The win of the Russian team and the gold medal of KNRTU student at the European Championship are excellent reasons for joy and pride for the whole team of the University, and for the entire Tatarstan!”
