Among the honored guests were the Youth Assembly of Tatarstan Peoples Chairman Timur Kadyrov and Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Infants and Youth Affairs of Kazan Alina Sharonova. The Head of International Affairs Department Anna Ebel greeted the audience.

The Association of Foreign Students and Postgraduates of Kazan Chairman Enesha Achilova made a report on the organization’s activity over the past couple of years. Next on the agenda were the elections of a new head of the organization for the further two years. Among the voters were foreign students of KFU, KNRTU, KNRTU named after A. N. Tupolev – KAI, KSUAE and Volga Region State Academy of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism. There were two candidates for the position of the new organization’s head: Yonel Nguma (Congo) from Innopolis University and KNRTU Food Technologies Faculty Master’s Degree Student Nusratillo Dzhuraev (Tadzhikistan).

KNRTU representative in his programme suggested to create the Association of Kazan Colleges’ Foreign Students, as well as to organize roundtable discussions with youth organizations and to improve the work on grant support and partnership.

It’s worth to be noted that Nusratillo takes an active part in a social life, bringing to his university awards in personal and team competitions. In 2019 he was awarded the diploma of the laureate of the Republican Prize “Student of the Year 2018” in nomination of “Foreign Student of the Year”. In 2018 he became the best foreign student of KNRTU according to the results of the “Honours Student-2018”award.
After their speeches the candidates were answering the numerous questions of the Presidium members about the Association activity. As a result of the secret ballot with a wide margin of votes, Nusratillo Dzhuraev became the new chairman of the Association of Foreign Students and Postgraduates of Kazan.
“I’m so pleased and excited to be entrusted with such a serious position. Within the next two years I will try to make our Association the Russia’s leading one. There is a lot of work ahead, but I’m in full readiness to cope with difficulties”- the winner shares.
