The head of “Technologies of inorganic substances and materials” department Alexey Khatsrinov opened the conference with the report on the opportunities of soda production in Turkmenistan. The audience was represented various production technologies such as ammonia, electrolytical, combined, as well as production from mirabilite (natural sodium sulfate) and from mirabilite by its reduction with coal.

The next report was given by professor, “Faculty of Petroleum and Petrochemistry” Dean, Head of “Chemical Technologies of Oil and Gas Processing” Department Natalya Bashkirtseva. In her speech the lecturer highlighted the oil processing peculiarities and represented technologies of oil recovery enhancing. Natalya Yuryevna demonstrated the results of using different technologies of oil extraction: stimulation of highly watered oil wells using a selective diverter, intensification of oil extraction from fractured reservoirs using self-propagating diverters, oil recovery enhancing using nanostructured dispersed systems and others.

The conference was ended by professor of “General Chemical Technologies” Department Renat Khamidullin, who spoke on the topic “Wave technologies in petroleum feedstocks preparation and processing”. The speaker explained the principles of wave-generating machines functioning and defined the areas of wave exposure application, among which routine preprocessing, transportation and processing of oil.
