From 14 to 15 of November KNRTU delegation took part in the International Exhibition and scientific conference “Education and Sport in the Epoch of Power and Happiness”, organized under the aegis of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Sport and Youth Policy of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat. During the visit there were organized meetings in the scientific and educational establishments of the republic and the memorandum of cooperation was signed.
Representatives of different regions of Europe and Asia (Russia, Ukraine, Germany, South Korea, India, Singapore, Japan, Central Asia countries and others) universities, including universities of Tatarstan took part in this large-scale event. Our university was represented by Vice-rector for Academic Affairs Alexey Burmistrov and “Chemical Technologies” Department Dean Svetlana Vinogradova.
During the opening of the conference, a plenary meeting was held in the Сhamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, where A.V. Burmistrov made a report (he was the only speaker from Russia). After that Alexey Vasilievich also took part in the work of the section “The role of an educational system in the development of digital economics”, that took place in the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan, where he told about the experience of KNRTU cooperation with Turkmen educational organizations and industrial enterprises and outlined future perspectives of these relations.
On the same day, on behalf of KNRTU administration Alexey Burmistrov signed the memorandum between KNRTU and Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction, one of the leading educational establishments in Turkmenistan, which provides training on a wide range of engineering disciplines, including chemical technology.
In Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction A.V. Burmistrov gave a summarizing lecture for students. There was also a meaningful communication with the administration and Faculty members of the institute, familiarization with its capabilities and development plans. The Vice-rector for Academic Affairs also handed over some books for the institute’s library - monographs and textbooks written by scientists of KNRTU. It was agreed that our publications on the issues most significant for the institute will be translated into Turkmen language.
Following the meeting with representatives of the state concern "Turkmenchemistry", the parties agreed that the existing agreement on targeted training for students sent to KNRTU by the concern will be prolonged.
During the conference, a working meeting with the Minister of Education Mammadmurad Geldyniyazov was held.
An essential program element was participation in an international exhibition. At the exhibition site there were held meetings with representatives of almost all Turkmen universities. They expressed great interest in cooperation with KNRTU, particularly in the possibilities of scientific and educational interaction.
KNRTU representatives visited the Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan and the Academic Technology Centre. According to A.V. Burmistrov, the meeting at the last one was especially promising in terms of establishing mutually beneficial contacts, as the Centre represents an innovative, well equipped park where it is possible to conduct research on topics relevant to both Turkmen party and KNRTU.
A space bridge was organized in the Institute of Chemistry, and KNRTU professors Renat Khamidullin, Aleksey Khatsrinov and Natalya Bashkirtseva actively participated in the scientific discussion. The possibility of direct remote communication with prominent scientists seemed rather interesting to Turkmen colleagues and it was unanimously decided to continue such practice from the beginning of next year, and to expand the range of academic and scientific educational institutions of Turkmenistan participating in such information exchange.
