The cooperation between KNRTU and Merseburg University of Applied Sciences on “Social Work” training program keeps developing. In April this year an agreement was reached on joint management of graduation theses in "Social Work" field of study by KNRTU and “HoMe” professors.
Under these agreements KNRTU and HoMe have conducted collaborative study in Russia and Germany. In June 2019 KNRTU was visited by a German student Anja Knolle, and in October 2019 our student Anastasia Likhomanova underwent a traineeship in “HoMe”.
During her stay in Merseburg University of Applied Sciences Anastasia has been conducting research in the framework of her master’s thesis on “Nonmaterial incentives of motivation in social life”. The supervision on conducting this research at “HoMe” “Social Work” faculty was realized by Professor Christian Paulick and assistant professor Halveig Hanke. Anastasia conducted comparative study of specific features of social work and nonmaterial motivation system of Russian and German employers.
During the traineeship in the University of Applied Sciences, Anastasia not only conducted research, but also took part in “Social Work” faculty academic activities. She attended lectures on such disciplines as psychology, social work’s history and others, participated in workshops on domestic violence and working with social groups, as well as visited a presentation of freshmen’s projects and places where local students undertake an internship («Kursana», «Caritas», «Outlaw»). During the practice she got acquainted with home for elderly people organization, their mode of life and the daily regimen there, as well as with communication between them and the personnel. Besides she learnt about the work of the centre, which aims at helping families, being at the edge of divorce, not to lose a contact with their children and, what’s more important, - not to let their psyche be injured. Personnel of this centre can also teach pregnant women to build a relationship with their future children and help parents that cannot manage well with their children.
