American Professor Delivered Lectures at KNRTU

On March 3, Professor Kim Hancock gave a lecture to KNRTU students about studying at the Ferris State University (USA).

Professor Hancock is a leading specialist in Organic Chemistry and Pharmacy at Ferris University, USA. She acquainted KNRTU students of the faculty of Oil and Petrochemistry with the history of the Ferris University, its faculties and fields of studies. Her colleague, Professor of Philology Lilia Caserta (Samigullina), assisted Professor Hancock in presenting their University and translated the lecture.

According to Professor Hancock, studying at the University is based on such core values as constant updating of knowledge and its correct application in practice, the desire to be a member of the team, show leadership qualities and maintain high standards in every aspect of life.

After the lecture, the curator of the KNRTU history Museum, Denis Sakharnykh, gave the American guests an informative tour of historical and memorial expositions. The next day Kim Hancock had a meeting with the rector of KNRTU, Sergey Yushko, during which the parties discussed prospects for cooperation in the field of academic exchange and online learning, as well as in holding spring schools hosted by KNRTU.

On March 4-11, Kim Hancock gave a course of lectures for students of the faculty of Oil and Petrochemistry and held several open lectures on organizing the teaching process at Ferris University.

State University named after Ferris was founded in 1884 and is located in Big Rapids, Michigan. The University operates 190 educational programs, including Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral programs. Currently the University has more than 12 thousand students.
