The Association of Russian International Universities, together with the Council of Rectors of Saint-Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, with the participation of the title media sponsor the TASS Agency, conducts International Student Competition "Russia and the United States: a step forward", dedicated to the opening of Saint-Petersburg State University Embassy in the USA.

Representatives of state authorities, public youthorganizations, mass media, culture and business, as well as educational organizations in Russia and the United States are invited to join the jury.

As part of the creative competition, members of the expert jury will judge photographic and video works, as well as essays on the relations between the two countries. The special nomination of the contest — "Best work dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II (The Great Patriotic War)". The winning projects will be presented not only on Russian platforms, but also in the United States.

The purpose of the competition is to stimulate creative activity of students focused on finding and solving topical issues and challenges in the development of relations between Russia and the United States.

From the Russian side, students of higher educational institutions will be able to participate in the creative competition. Contestants have the opportunity to submit their work individually or as part of a team. The topics of the projects are not limited - from history to the promotionof a healthy lifestyle. The main condition is that the works must complywith the goals and objectives of the competition.

The jury will evaluate each work according to several criteria: project idea, relevance, compliance with the goals and objectives of the competition, informative content, creative solution and originality of the work, internal logic of the project and also the quality of performance.

The additional winner of the creative contest "Russia and the USA: a step forward" will be determined by the students themselves — using online voting. All participants will receive certificates of participation in the competition, and the winners and prize-winners will receive diplomas and gifts.
