Dear students, staff members, graduates, citizens of Tatarstan!
We sincerely congratulate you on the glorious date - the 100th anniversary of the formation of our Republic!
This day, May 27, exactly one hundred years ago the «Decree on the Autonomous Tatar Socialist Soviet Republic (TASSR)» was signed, which marked an important milestone in the history of the Tatar people, the nationalities of the Volga region, the Urals and all of Russia.
Thanks to the provisions of the Leninist Decree, the borders of our Republic were formed and the words"Tataria" and "Tatarstan" was filled with a specific geographical, economic, political, historical and cultural meaning.
Our Republic has existed for a hundred years, and now it is one of the most advanced regions of Russia, the flagship of the high-tech industry, advanced education, fundamental and applied sciencedevelopment, recognized center of cultural and sports life. Russians, Tatars, Chuvashes, Mari, Udmurts and many other peoples live like a friendly family in Tatarstan, develop their language and traditions.
From year to year, the interest of residents of Russia and foreign countries in our Republic to the flourishing capital of Tatarstan, Kazan, an ancient and at the same time eternally young city that has become a world center of sports and tourism, is growing. They are attracted by the rich cultural heritage, nature and architecture, our famous universities and the industrial and investment potential of the Republic.
Outstanding scientists and teachers, whose life and work are inextricably linked with Kazan Institute of Chemical Technology, then with Kazan State Technological University and, finally, with Kazan National Research Technological University, have made an invaluable contribution to the development of Tatarstan. Here they are: Alexander E. Arbuzov and Boris A. Arbuzov, Gilm H. Kamay, Hamid M. Mushtari, Igor D. Ado, Nikolai V. kholevo, Alexey Ya. Bogorodsky, Petor A. Kirpichnikov and many others. It is also difficult to overestimate the contribution of our University to the training of qualified personnel for the basic industries of Tatarstan.
Today, each of us – students, teachers, scientists, workers in industry and business, social and managerial spheres continue the work of our fathers and grandfathers, who laid a solid foundation of our common home – the Republic of Tatarstan.
We wish our Republic further progressive development and prosperity, and all its residents – the implementation of all plans and projects, inspiration and optimism, good health, happiness and well-being!
