For the first time, final state exams were held in a remote format at KNRTU. On May 26, students of the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship of the Faculty of Industrial Policy and Business Administration successfully passed the online state exam in the field of Sociology (Sociology of Management and Organizations specialization), and on June 2, the Department held the State Final Examination for the Project Management educational program in the field of Management.

According to Raushania Zinurova, Head of the Department, Director of the Institute of Innovation Management, it was enough for students and teachers to have any gadget with Internet access to pass the exam. Conditions created for students were similar to the real exam. They chose a test-paper that included two theoretical questions and a task, then prepared and successfully answered it in real time.

The Stat Examination Commission (SEC) in Sociology includes leading specialists and employers of the local and federal levels. The Commission was headed by Andrey Bolshakov, representative of KFU, Head of the Department of Conflictology. His colleague from KNRTU-KAI, Head of the Department of Economics and Management at the Enterprise - Gaziz Mingaleev, led the work of the SEC in Management. As part of the commissions, external experts and representatives of enterprises — potential employers of our managers and sociologists-graduates, objectively assessed the level of training.

Unlike many other universities, KNRTU did not refuse to conduct state examinations under the pretext of a coronavirus pandemic. "The state exam is an integral part of the educational program, and we set a goal to fully complete it despite all the difficulties. Students showed a high level of preparation. The connection was stable. By means of the Microsoft Teams platform, a continuous live broadcast of the entire examination process and video recording of the exam progress were provided," - said Raushania I. Zinurova At the Faculty of Design and Software Engineering (FDSE), exams were held online both in technical areas, such as Information Technology, Information Systems and Technology, and in creative areas: Graphic Design, Costume and Textiles Art, Costume Design, Textile Design, Ceramics.

FDSE thoroughly prepared for state exams. Students were trained to work online via the Microsoft Teams, conducted an online consultation, studied all the interfaces and features of using it during exams.

The SEC in Design was headed by Sergey Mikhailov, Head of the Department of Architectural Environment Design, Vice-President of the Union of Designers of the Russian Federation, and SEC in Information Technology was headed by Nikolay Pleshchinsky, Professor of Applied Mathematics at Kazan Federal University. Among the members of the examination commissions there were profile specialists - authoritative scientists and practitioners, leading Kazan designers, production workers - representatives of Gazprom enterprises, who joined directly from their workplaces. In addition to theoretical questions, test-papers also included practical tasks that students showed using the Screen Demonstration feature.

"The choice of the Microsoft Teams platform provided us with a comfortable state exam. Our graduates were in comfortable conditions and were able to communicate with members of the SEC and answer their additional questions. They presented themselves well on the exam. We have no doubt that the graduate qualification work will also be defended without any problems," commented Elmira Khairullina, Dean of FDSE .
