KNRTU and JFR Company (Japan) Discussed the Opening of a Joint Laboratory

On August 5, Ruslan Naumov, representative of JFR Company (Japan) in Russia, visited KNRTU. JFR Co. Ltd is an international biotechnology company engaged in the development of food products and food probiotic preparations, the technology for increasing the digestibility of feeds with a high protein content, as well as the development of wastewater treatment systems for agricultural production and waste recycling.

Representatives of the Japanese Company visited the Republic of Tatarstan last December and expressed a desire to localize their production in our Republic. Following the meeting on December 3, 2019, the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency formed a working group, which included representatives of KNRTU: Sergey Mukhachev - Ph.D., Head of the Laboratory «Engineering Problems of Biotechnology», Associate Professor of the Department of Chemical Cybernetics; Alexander Sirotkin - Doctor of Technical Sciences, Dean of the Faculty of Food Technologies, Head of the Department of Industrial Biotechnology, Full Professor; Rustem Khabibullin - Doctor of Technical Sciences, Full Professor of the Department of Technology of Meat and Dairy Products.

Acting Rector of KNRTU - Yuri Kazakov thanked the company representative for his interest in our University. During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibility of opening a biotechnological laboratory (Biocenter) with the participation of KNRTU as the first stage of the proposed project and laboratory staffing.
