KNRTU has debuted in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings, which evaluates the impact of universities on solving global problems (THE Impact Rankings 2020). The ranking examines the contribution of the universities around the world to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals. This year, 768 universities from 85 countries were ranked.

Our contribution to achieving the Quality Education goal made it possible to place KNRTU in the group 301-400. In total, 48 Russian universities were evaluated according to this indicator, including four universities from Tatarstan (KFU — 101-200, KSMU — 301-400, Innopolis University — 600+).

The contribution of universities to achieving this goal is assessed by taking into account such indicators as Research on Early Years and Lifelong Learning Education (27%), Proportion of Graduates with Teaching Qualification (15.4%), Lifelong Learning Measures (26.8%), Proportion of First-generation Students (i.e. students receiving a bachelor's degree for the first time among their family members) in the total number of students receiving higher education for the first time (30.8%).
