The 7th China International Fair for Trade in Services opened in Beijing on September 3rd. The event is organized by the Ministry of Commerce of China and the People's Government of Beijing with constant support of the WTO, OECD and UNICAD. KNRTU takes an active part in the fair by presenting two expositions.

The fair has been held since 2012, during which time over a million visitors and 10000 representatives from more than 200 countries and regions of the world have participated. This year the theme of the fair is “Global services with shared benefits”. The exhibition covers 12 main sectors of services according to the classification of the World Trade Organization, including commercial, communication services, construction services and related engineering services, educational services, etc.

One of the expositions presented by KNRTU is dedicated to the activities of the SOYZKHIMPROMPROEKT Design Institute, which specializes in the design of chemical industries (oil and gas processing, petrochemistry, chemical industries, etc.). The other exposition presents information about educational services that KNRTU is ready to provide to international students.

The fair will host a number of big events, including the forums of the Global Trade in Services Summit, where representatives of industry leaders from China and other countries are invited. Industry forums such as «New Trends in the Open Development of Trade in Services», «Trends and Limits of Development of Digital Trade» and «Facilitating Trade in Services by Multinational Companies» bring together representatives from national government agencies as well as academia. In addition, industry conferences and professional forums as well as negotiations and business meetings will be held.

Taking into account the circumstances caused by the spread of COVID-19, CIFTIS 2020 is held in the blended format: in addition to traditional expositions, a digital platform is open on the fair website.
