On March 9, the Times Higher Education (THE) published updated Emerging Economies University Ranking. This year, the ranking includes more than 600 universities. The Russian Federation joined the top five countries with the largest number of represented universities and ranked second after China in the number of universities in the top 50.

48 Russian universities were included in the ranking.

KNRTU remains in 401-500 place in the group. However, it’s improved position on the following indicators:

- “Citation”: 17.5 points (in 2020 — 10.5);

- “International Outlook”: 26.5 points (in 2020 – 25);

- “Research”: 9.1 points (in 2020 – 8.4);

- “Teaching”: 18.1 points (in 2020 – 17.8).
