On April 28, our university was visited by the counsellor of the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan Almaz Bukalaev, supervising scientific and educational activities in the Republic of Kyrgyzstan. The meeting was attended by the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Dilbar Sh. Sultanova, the Vice Rector for Research Aleksandr Yu. Kopylov and the head of International Affairs Anna O. Ebel.

The visit of A. Bukalaev was organized in the framework of the arrival to Kazan of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan Ulukbek Maripov and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan Gulnara-Klara Samat.

The counsellor emphasized the importance of developing comprehensive co-operation between Kyrgyzstan and Tatarstan, especially in the field of education and culture. Our partners from the Republic of Kyrgyzstan are especially interested in our scientific and educational potential as well as in the opportunity to develop academic exchange of students and researchers in such fields as mining, agriculture, information and communication technologies.
