On June 27, the federal TV channel "Russia-24" released a piece on the most advanced developments of KNRTU scientists. Associate Professor of the Department of Physical and Colloid Chemistry Artem N. Bezrukov, one of the developers of the new English- taught Master’s program in Chemical Technology “Smart Materials”, told about microfluidic devices, their design, purpose and prospects for use. The Head of the Department of Physical and Colloid Chemistry Yuriy G. Galyametdinov spoke about the possibilities of using microfluidic chips in the production of vaccines and other biological products.
The program "Science" is a popular science program about the achievements, developments and trends of Russian science. The pieces of the program are rather informative, they tell about advanced research areas, projects and global technologies presented by several leading Russian universities and other scientific and technological organizations. This year, in April, journalists of the program arrived for filming at KNRTU Department of Physical and Colloid Chemistry. The channel’s editors paid particular attention to the Department’s scientific developments in the field of creating highly organized environment based on liquid crystal compounds of lanthanides and hybrid quantum dots for molecular diagnostics and biomedicine, as well as in the field of using microfluidic devices as components of "lab-on-a-chip".
KNRTU state-of-the-art technologies were represented to the journalists by the Head of the Department of Physical and Colloid Chemistry Yuriy G. Galyametdinov and the Department’s Associate Professors Artem N. Bezrukov and Alexander S. Krupin, who took part in the filming. The next part of the program will be released in September and mainly focused on the developments of KNRTU scientists in the field of liquid crystal compounds of lanthanides and hybrid quantum dots in light-transforming devices.
