27.08.2021

On August 26, our university was visited by KraussMaffei company representatives. One of the key questions to discuss at the working meeting was providing KNRTU with the equipment necessary to create a joint research and engineering training center at the university. This issue has been agreed by the university administration and KraussMaffei representatives during their previous meetings.

The meeting was attended by Deputy General Director of KraussMaffai in Russia Zakhar Antonovsky, Head of KraussMaffai division in the Volga region (Russia) Konstantin Tyutko, and Head of KraussMaffai in Russia Service Department Dmitry Blokhin.

They informed that all the preparatory activities on creating the center are currently at the final stage, and that in the period from late October to early November, an injection molding machine and a robot are to be supplied to KNRTU and starting-up and adjustment works are to be carried out.

KNRTU acting rector Yury Kazakov reported on the process of preparation of the premises for the center, its design and the peripheral equipment necessary for it.

The parties also discussed scientific and technical, organizational and legal aspects of the equipment supply and organization of the center. At the working meeting KNRTU was represented by the Vice-Rector for Research Aleksandr Kopylov, the Head of Chemistry and Technology of Elastomer Processing Department Svetoslav Wolfson, the Head of Research Department Ruslan Zotov, the Head of Legal Department Maxim Parshenko, the Head of International Affairs Anna Ebel, and the Director of Procurement and Logistics Department Yuri Berkman.

Another problem that was touched upon during the meeting is the development of special courses and study guides for higher and secondary vocational education in the field of polymer processing, casting and robotics. Our colleagues from KraussMaffai company offered to provide the necessary materials and videos in English and German. "Such courses and study guides are definitely to be in great demand, contributing not only to the development of professionalism and qualification improvement, but also to the popularization of modern technologies, KraussMaffai equipment and studying at KNRTU", Konstantin Tyutko noted.
