KNRTU and Yokogawa Electric Corporation Signed an Agreement on Development of Cooperation

On the first day of the Tatarstan Petrochemical Forum – 2021, KNRTU acting rector Yury M. Kazakov and Director General of Yokogawa Electrics CIS Ltd. Alexander Rezanov signed the cooperation agreement. Yokogawa Electric is our university long-standing partner. Since Yokogawa laboratories were launched in 2011, the university has the possibility to train and retrain specialists in the field of automation of technological processes, particularly for petrochemical sector.

Besides, Yokogawa Electric regularly organizes student research competitions and awards the most talented ones. The agreement concluded provides for strengthening cooperation in training highly qualified specialists for oil and gas industry, developing the university scientific and educational potential in the field of technological processes automation, as well as conducting joint scientific and marketing research, training specialists (including advanced training) that use Yokogawa equipment.

According to the director of KNRTU Institute of Management, Automation and Information Technologies Rustam Nurgaliyev, the extension of the Agreement marks a new stage of successful cooperation: “We have planned further development of the laboratory network and a project on equipping the existing Yokogawa infrastructure at KNRTU with software, which is to be implemented by the end of this year."
