The ceremony was held on the eve of the Russian Science Day, in Kazan.
Minister of youth affairs of Tatarstan Timur Suleimanov commented, “We really want your ranks to be constantly replenished with new bright personalities, and we hope that since their school days young people would see the life of science as the life of a successful man.”
There were 9 KNRTU representatives among the awardees:
— Polina Loginova (Faculty of Textile Industry Technology and Fashion)
— Lyudmila Lukina (Faculty of Textile Industry Technology and Fashion)
— Alisa Zotova (Faculty of Textile Industry Technology and Fashion)
— Alexandra Sadyrina (Institute of Polymers)
— Olga Semochkina (Faculty of Nanomaterials and Nanotechnologies)
— Leysan Khabibulina (Faculty of Petroleum and Petrochemistry)
— Sergey Dulmaev (Technology of Synthetic Rubber Department)
— Oleg Sazonov (Technology of Synthetic Rubber Department)
— Ruzanna Ziyatdinova (Department of Physical and Colloid Chemistry)
The scientific and educational achievements of most of the KNRTU fellows are related to Chemistry Science. Thus, the research work of Oleg Sozonov, a post-graduate student of KNRTU Department of Technology of Synthetic Rubber, is related to the synthesis and research of branched and hyperbranched ionogenic polyols:
“Steam permeable materials that are mechanically strong and resistant to the effects of the aggressive environment are developed on the basis of orthophosphoric acids amino ethers. Coatings are widely used and can be applied under a variety of environmental conditions to protect materials from moisture, salt fog, chemicals and temperature limits, preventing corrosion and mould formation”, the scholar explains.
Second-year master’s degree student of the Faculty of Petroleum and Petrochemistry, Leysan Habibullina, is a medical chemistry researcher. Her interests are related to the modification of natural compounds.
“Obtained compounds in our lab have anticancer activity”, Leysan noted.
Researches that were done by Lyudmila Lukina, a student of the Faculty of Textile Industry Technology and Fashion, are also closely related to medicine. She is actively engaged in the research of non-woven materials for medicine under the supervision of Assistant Professor of Medical Engineering Maria Lisanevich.
“We are working to improve the comfort of non-woven materials for surgical clothing and underwear”, Maria explained.
In total, 90 people were awarded the annual special state scholarship of the Republic of Tatarstan.
