KNRTU LECTURERS TAKE INTERNSHIPS AT GAZPROM

10 lecturers from the Chemical Technology of Petroleum and Gas Processing Department are currently undergoing an internship at Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk LLC.

During the week, the Department staff get acquainted with the development strategy and environmental policy of the enterprise, the characteristics of technological processes and modern PC-modeling. By the way, the enterprise’s General Director Yury Lebedev is a KNRTU graduate. He held the introductory meeting of our staff with Gazprom Pererabotka.

According to Elena I. Cherkasova, Associate Professor of the Chemical Technology of Petroleum and Gas Processing Department, all were impressed by the scale of production: gigantic territory, instrumentation and technologies that are already used and will be used in the near future.

“We were shown the entire technological complex of the plant’s units. The helium liquefaction unit was of particular interest to us. We visited methane, nitrogen and helium separation unit. The plant is still under construction, but the first three technological lines are in the commissioning mode”, – shared her impressions Elena I. Cherkasova.

Professional development of faculty on the basis of modern high-tech enterprises is an important part of the development program of the Advanced Engineering School.

According to Ruslan Paley, Director of PromChemTech, while studying of the real production units of the industrial gas giant, the Amur Gas Chemical Complex in Blagoveshchensk, and discussing with local specialists the competencies demanded by the industry, KNRTU lecturers will create qualitatively new master programs for those who study at PromChemTech. Enterprise’s employees, in their turn, will have an opportunity to be trained in the Advanced Engineering School, provided with modern educational and scientific equipment and advanced training complexes.
