The team from KNRTU – Anton Ragulin, Marina Antonova, and Igor Merzlyakov – participated in the VIII International Student Olympiad named after Professor K.F. Bogatykh in the "Processes and Apparatuses of Chemical Engineering" discipline on May 21. The event was hosted by Ufa State Petroleum Technological University.

The competition brought together students specializing in engineering and technical fields from Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Angola, and other countries. A total of 24 teams participated both in-person and remotely.

The KNRTU team secured second place in the team competition. Igor Merzlyakov earned second place in the individual standings.

The Olympiad was organized and sponsored by Technology Engineering Holding PETON, which prepared valuable prizes and commemorative gifts for all participants and winners. The award ceremony took place as part of the XXXIII International Specialized Exhibition "Gas. Oil. Technologies – 2025" on May 22.
