On December 10, at 21:00, the New Century television and Radio company aired the next edition of the TV project "Watandashlar. Compatriots." In this series of broadcasts, journalists talk about our famous countrymen, whose names are significant for the culture and science of Russia and the whole world. The heroes of the project include not only those whose lives have already become history, but also our contemporaries. Today's issue will be dedicated to a legendary personality — the oldest teacher of Kazan Technological University, a graduate of the KSTU in 1956, PhD in Chemical Sciences, Advisor to the Rector, Professor of the Department of Physical and Colloidal Chemistry - William P. Barabanov.

The half-hour issue tells about the childhood and youth of the famous scientist, about his scientific path and contribution to the development of chemistry and chemical technology, about the large-scale work to preserve the historical memory of our university and the Kazan Chemical School, about his family. The staff of the press center and the KNRTU History Museum, members of V. P. Barabanov's family and, of course, himself took part in the preparation of the project.
