On November, 25, 2013, the representative of “Dow Corning”, France – Dr. Xavier Thomas conducted the technical workshop “Silicones in medical applications” in KNRTU. Dr. Xavier Thomas was accompanied by Elena Spivak - business development specialist of “DowCorning” company in Moscow, Russia. The representatives of the delegation were welcomed by Vice Rector for Economic Affairs and Innovations – Dr. Valeriy Alyayev, Vice Rector for Research – Dr. Ildar Abdullin, Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs – Dr. Alexander Kochnev, Head of Process Equipment for Medical and Light Industries department – Dr. Il'dar Musin, Vice Rector for Administrative Affairs – Dr. Ilgiz Kharisov, Head of KNRTU International Affairs – Dr. Julia Ziyatdinova, Head of Protocol Office – Dr. Artem Bezrukov. Xavier Thomas presented “Dow Corning” company achievements in the field of silicones research and their applications in medicine, particularly in producing of plasters and bandages, treatment of wounds and scars. Dr. Xavier Thomas and Elena Spivak showed some silicone product samples produced by “Dow Corning” company. Upon completion of the meeting, the representatives of “Dow Corning” company discussed collaboration with KNRTU faculty. |
