In the framework of the visit, the delegation met with the counselor of the Russian Embassy in Vietnam – Dr. Aleksey Lavrenyev in the Russian Center for Science and Culture. During the meeting, the parties discussed the issues of attraction of Vietnamese applicants to KNRTU.

The next point of the program was the visit to Hanoi University of Science and Technology. KNRTU delegates were welcomed by its administration, headed by the President – Professor Nguyen Trong Giang. The meeting resulted in signing of the agreement on joint research and on opening the representative office.

An important meeting was held in the Ministry of Education and Training. KNRTU delegates met with the representatives of Vietnam International Education Development department, headed by its General Director – Nguyen Xuan Vang. The collaboration issues between KNRTU and Vietnamese universities were discussed.

Later, the delegation of KNRTU visited Thai Nguyen University and met with its Vice President – Dr. Minh Van Dang. The parties discussed educational programs for Russian language, joint researches and exchange programs for professors.

Having returned to Hanoi, KNRTU delegates took part in the meeting with representatives of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology. The meeting was attended by Deputy Director of Social and Natural Sciences department – Dr. Nguyen Thi Thanh Ha, Head of Department of Functional Polymers and Nanomaterials – Dr. Ngo Trinh Tung. The parties discussed the issues of joint grants and establishment of joint research center.

The next point in the program of KNRTU delegation was the visit to Hanoi University of Industry. This meeting was headed by its Rector – Dr. Tran Duc Quy. The issues of Research & Education Center establishment were discussed. Dr. Tran Duc Quy intends to visit KNRTU in spring of 2014 to work out the details of this project.

The visit to Viet Tri University of Industry was one of the most productive events. In November, 2013, the delegation of Viet Tri University has visited KNRTU and an MOU was signed. The rector of Viet Tri University of Industry – Dr. Quan Dinh Khoa, expressed his interest in collaboration with KNRTU. In Viet Tri the parties agreed to translate KNRTU tutorials into Vietnamese, negotiated PhD programs for Viet Tri students and the KNRTU representative office on the basis of Viet Tri University of Industry.

Later, the delegation of KNRTU moved to Danang and met with the administration of Danang University of Technology, headed by the Vice Rector – Dr. Le Thi Kim Oanh. The parties discussed the collaboration issues in research, student exchange, joint grants and joint educational programs.
