TV academic contest “Chemical Boom” is one the most interesting and impressive projects of KNRTU.
KNRTU holds it jointly with the state “TNV” television and radio broadcasting company, republican chemical society named after D.I. Mendeleev with support of the Government.
“Chemical Boom” is a unique project for secondary school students in the field of natural Sciences. This amazing project, which started in 2006, is a perfect example of work for detecting secondary school students’ interest to engineering and science work. “Chemical Boom” popularizes science and attracts wide audience with its exciting contest.
During the contest, secondary school students deepen their knowledge in chemistry, develop their thinking and communicative skills.
“Chemical Boom” TV academic contest gathered more than 500 talented secondary school students from 10 regions of Russia for the seventh time in 2013.
Since 2009, “Chemical Boom” is included in the “Education” national project. The winners of “Chemical Boom” get cash prize from the Russian Government.
In 2012, “Chemical Boom” was recognized as the best popular science project of the country in All-Russian contest of media, which was held by the Government.
