KNRTU faculty visited Singapore for training

On December 16-23, 2013, the faculty of KNRTU completed training in Singapore

The training program included the meeting with administration of Nanyang Technological University represented by its Vice President for international affairs – Dr. Er Meng Hwa, Director of international affairs office – Dr. Toh Kian Lam, as well as meeting with the faculty of School of Materials Science and Engineering and School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering. Nanyang Technological University is the central technological university in Singapore. This university offers a wide range of technological and economic academic programs. According to the international cumulative rating of Times Higher Education Supplement (THES), Nanyang Technological University took 77th place in 2007 and 69th place in 2008. One of the most important purposes during the training was development of collaboration between Nanyang Technological University and KNRTU in the field of education, science and innovations.

According to KNRTU faculty, training was very useful and helped them to learn more about recent developments in the field of physics and chemistry of materials and to communicate with the leading experts in this area of knowledge. Nanoparticles of carbon powder made from used industrial rubber goods were obtained by plasma method. The samples were brought to Kazan for their further study. Training helped to establish contacts between KNRTU and Nanyang Technological University, to find common science issues that can be solved jointly in the future.

During the visit, the delegation of KNRTU also visited Singapore National Environment Agency. This visit was organized by the management of AEL-Enviro. The representatives of the agency expressed their interest to KNRTU projects in the field of ecology, environmental protection and waste recycling.

KNRTU and AEL ENVIRO (ASIA) PTE LTD (Singapore) signed the collaboration agreement in the area of science and education.

The participants of the training express their thanks to the management of AEL ENVIRO, Dr. Tan, Dr. Paskalov, and Dr. Gafarov. The participants emphasized the excellent organization of the training that helped to make rich program in a short time, get a large amount of knowledge, and get positive emotions.
