During the official visit to France, the delegation met with the leaders of Lyon Chamber of Commerce and Industry and took part in a business forum, where Tatarstan economic and investment potential was presented. The President of the Republic of Tatarstan - Rustam Minnikhanov noted that it is important for Tatarstan to establish contacts with educational institutions of France and Lyon in particular. “You have a very strong engineering school and we are interested in the exchange of students” - he said. As a result of the meeting, Memorandum of Cooperation between Lyon and Tatarstan Chambers of Commerce and Industry was signed. In the framework of the visit program, the delegation of Tatarstan visited Technology Park and Renault Trucks plant in Lyon.
The next point of the visit was the meeting with the representatives of Nice city administration. The parties discussed the collaboration opportunities during this meeting.
Also, the delegation of Tatarstan took part in the international conference “Innovative city” in Nice.
After that, the delegates of the Republic of Tatarstan met with the representatives of French industrial clusters, including Pegas (aerospace), SCS (Secured Communicating Solutions) and Optitec (information technology) in Nice.
The last point of the visit was the Sophia Antipolis Science Park - the oldest and one of top technoparks in Europe.
