In the framework of the official visit to Tatarstan, the delegation of US Embassy, headed by John Tefft, visited KNRTU. The delegation was welcomed by the administration of the university, headed by the Rector – Professor German Dyakonov and was accompanied by Tatarstan officials, headed by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan – Vasil Shaykhraziev, Director of the Presidential Department of Foreign Affairs – Edward Habibullin and the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the RussianFederation in Kazan – Bulat Mubarakshin. During the meeting, the representatives of KNRTU made their presentation of the university. The collaboration issues in the field of education and research were discussed with the faculty and students of KNRTU. Also, John Tefft presented the certificates of completion to participants of the Fulbright summer school, which was held at KNRTU. After that, the representatives of the leading Russian mass media companies had the opportunity to ask their questions to the US Ambassador.
