02.02.2022

KNRTU students, as well as specialists of oil and gas enterprises, who want to upgrade their skills, will be able to take training and internships using the latest equipment of KraussMaffei company. In the near future, a specialized scientific training center will be opened at the university base, where it will be possible to operate the state-of-art, high cost equipment free of charge.

“The casting machine which will be delivered to KNRTU represents the brand-new line of the electric injection molding machines”, - Anton Nikiforov, Assistant Professor at the Department of Chemistry and Technology of Elastomers explains. “KraussMaffei is the top world leader in this field. Besides, together with the injection molding machine a modern robot will be supplied for production automation. Students will be given the opportunity to gain theoretical and practical knowledge of thermoplastic injection molding process based on KraussMaffei’s solid experience, as well as programming skills to solve production issues. Participants will obtain both KNRTU and KraussMaffei certificates upon completion of the training courses”.

The signing of the Agreement of Cooperation between our university and the foreign company took place in Moscow at the international specialized exhibition “Interplastica-2022”, where KNRTU participated as a KraussMaffei’s partner. It’s worth to mention that this event is the most significant Russian forum for enterprises focused on production and processing of polymers, plastics and rubbers. Moreover, our university is so far the only strategic research and educational partner of KraussMaffei in Russia.

“The exhibition brought together all the world’s largest plastics processing equipment manufacturers, polymer materials manufacturers and processors”, - Anton Nikiforov commented. As soon as the exhibition finishes, the injection molding machine presented there will be prepared for transportation to KNRTU.

At present, on the basis of German programs, KNRTU has already developed methodological recommendations and training modules for operating new equipment, as well as study guide, corresponding modern requirements of European training centers.

The agreement also provides for the exchange of young scientists and students, as well as for networking with KraussMaffei partners in technology and production.
