History
In 1960, the rapidly growing rubber processing industry required well-trained specialists. At that time, the training course “Technology of Rubber” was performed under the head of U. O. Averko-Antonovich. Drawing on the best practices of the course the Department of Chemistry and Technology of Oligomers was established in 2006. At KNRTU training in rubber technology has been headed by Svyatoslav I. Volfson since 1988, initially as the course leader, then as the department chair.
