About

The Department Faculty consists of 48 lecturers, including 12 Candidates of Sciences, 1 Professor, 12 Associate Professors with a degree, 7 without a degree, 24 Senior Lecturers, and 4 Assistants. There are 8 Masters of Sports of Russia and two Honored Workers of Physical Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The Department has 26 sports sections, and over 800 people are playing different sports, including: basketball, volleyball, tennis, table tennis, national wrestling, boxing, judo, fitness aerobics, badminton, athletics, soccer, skiing, weight lifting, chess, and etc.

Academics

The Department provides physical education classes to all students of the University.

Research Activities

The Department works at “Research and Development of Effective Health-Improving Methods for Academic, Extracurricular and Self-Study Activities of Students”.

The main topics under study at the Department:
1. Pedagogical conditions for promoting a healthy lifestyle among Technical university students in Physical Education classes;
2. Enhancing Motivation for Sports and health-improving activities in personality development.
