On October 19-20, 2016, Vice Rector for Internal Policy of KNRTU Dr.Rafkat Urazbaev made his presentation on 20th Meeting of the Russian-Chinese Subcommittee on Cooperation in Science and Technology of the Russian-Chinese Commission on Preparing Regular Meetings between Heads of Governments which was held in Shanghai. The delegation of Russia was headed by Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation – Alexey Lopatin. The Chinese delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China – Yin Hetszyun.
In the framework of the round table organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the PRC, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, and the Committee for Science and Technology of Shanghai Municipality, representatives of Russia’s and China’s leading universities and industrial organizations discussed the prospects for developing bilateral relations in the field of science and innovation.

On October 22-23, 2016, the delegation of KNRTU took part in «China Education Expo 2016» education exhibition in Beijing.
China Education Expo-2016 (CEE-2016) is one of the most important international education exhibitions held in Asia. Representatives of more than 600 education institutions from more than 40 countries came to the Chinese capital to take part in this event.
The organizers of the event were the Ministry of Science and Technology of the PRC, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE).

On October 25-27, 2016, the representatives of KNRTU took part in the 7th International Conference «Confidence and Security in the Information Society» in Beijing.
The Infoforum’s conference was supported by the Security Council of the Russian Federation, government of Russia, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, EMERCOM of Russia, Ministry of Communications of Russia, Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, Roskomnadzor, other ministries and departments, the government of Moscow, administrations of constituent entities of the Russian Federation, mass media, leading associations and major industrial enterprises, representatives of science and education. Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and Russian Embassy in China supported the activity of Infoforum.
Also, KNRTU delegates visited «Security China 2016» exhibition and R&D center of Huawei in Beijing.
